Re: Being watched for HELLP
Hi Amber - I am sorry that you had to find us here, but we are happy to be here for you. I responded to your post on the other forum too. PE and HELLP are weird. Most of the time, women get sick and keep getting sicker. Other times, we don't, I think all they can do is watch and monitor you very clo...

Re: Pre-Eclampsia goes away?
HELLP can hit very quickly, and it very rarely stabilizes or reverses. I felt like I had HELLP symptoms that came and went for a few weeks, but that is really unusual. I did end up delivering at 35 weeks because things got really bad. It sounds like you caught a really lucky break and a great chance...

Re: Abnormal Case of Pre-e? No symptoms.
Hello and welcome! It sounds like all you and your doctors can do is "watchful waiting", which is pretty stressful. We have had posters with similar symptoms continue to get sicker very slowly, and some get sick very quickly. I don't think it is possible to predict what will happen. You may be able ...

Re: update- NEW HERE, Questioning if I have early signs of P
How did your appointment go? I had HELLP without ever having blood pressures above 135/85. It is unusual, but it can happen. I had similar abdominal/ side pain that would come and go over a couple of weeks until it got really bad.
I hope your blood work comes back ok and that you are feeling better.

Re: HELLP Syndrome - 2nd Pregnancy RUQ Pain Early
Welcome to the forums. Congrats on your pregnancy! It has to be nerve wracking to to have the URQ pain so early. All of the doctors I spoke with said that HELLP and the associated liver pain go away after delivery. I had pain for a while after delivery, but it was minor and almost completely gone by...

Re: HELLP 7 years ago.. Still Sick. Please Help
I am really sorry that you are still going through this. I know it sucks. I felt better after I quit going to doctors and stopped trying to figure it out. I had a little relapse last year, and just the crappy-go-round of feeling terrible, constant medical testing, ER, more waiting rooms, and the exp...

Re: New here! In hospital now with postpartum pre-eclampsia.
Hi Claire - Welcome to the forums and congrats on your little one. I am sorry that you had to find us here. It sounds like the hospital is doing the right thing by giving you another round of mag. Usually one round is bad enough, but two sounds terrible. I am sure that someone with useful advice on ...

Re: HELLP 7 years ago.. Still Sick. Please Help
Sorry to hear that you are going through all of this. I had HELLP 4 years ago, and it absolutely sucked. We were very lucky and came out of it quite healthy, eventually. I had many of your symptoms for a couple of years. I went through a bunch of doctors and tests for all of the same autoimmune issu...

Re: Slow Onset?
Bookworm - I started spending a lot more time in major pain, and I started throwing up. I am NOT a puker. It was obvious to everyone (except me) that something was seriously wrong at that point. I also turned yellow and really felt flu-ish and terrible. As a point of reference, I had real influenza ...
