Re: spilling protein
I agree, there is definitely cause for close monitoring moving forward for you because of your history. The diagnosis only requires 2 BP readings of 140/90 or higher (at two different sittings), so it's not like you have to wait for it to get up there and stay for a while. Do you know your baseline ...

Re: Feeling Guilty for Wanting to Try Again
I'm sorry you went through such a traumatic experience. PE just plain stinks! It is very normal to be dealing with PTSD and things of that nature. Many women have said here that even seeing the hospital where it all happened could send them into a tizzy. It is amazing what you (and your son) have co...

Re: Not sure if I'm getting Pre-e or worrying about nothing
Oh ok - the midwives always throw me off :) My state does not allow them! Yes, definitely get all your care together under one doctor. I'm not sure what times of day, or if that even matters, but most people are recommended to take 3 readings a day. So early, midday, and evening, I'm sure. You don't...

Re: Not sure if I'm getting Pre-e or worrying about nothing
Welcome to the forum :) sorry you are going through this - I can see where you'd be frustrated. It does sound a little too confusing to have so many people involved in your care. What would concern me most is the dark colored urine and the lack of it along with the high BPs. With your protein increa...

Re: How reliable are non-stress tests?
It is so hard to not worry about that sweet baby, though! I would think he is probably just getting so big now - or maybe he's turned differently than he was before. My youngest would turn while I was asleep and I'd wake up to an odd-looking belly
Let us know after your check on Friday, though!

Re: How reliable are non-stress tests?
So he did fine yesterday and you have another NST later this week? If you have another one this week, I wouldn't worry too much just yet. Remember, at this gestation, they are putting on weight rapidly and running out of of play room. Have you tried some caffeine or getting on hands and knees and ro...

Re: Feeling out of control!
That's so great that you're doing so well at 34 weeks! I'm pretty sure I felt kind of like that in my last pregnancy. I only went 36w with the twins, so past that in a subsequent pregnancy... I just kept telling everyone that the baby could come any day now and it would be just fine!! Even at 37w, I...

Re: Concerned at 35+2 wks
Sorry to jump in the middle of the thread :) I wouldn't be satisfied with your doctors orders, if I were you. A general feeling of something being wrong is actually a significant indicator. Call it maternal instinct. I would do as others have suggest and go straight to L&D and ask for bloodwork. Mos...
