Re: Prepping myself for pregnancy after PE

I'm so sorry for the loss of your precious baby. I'm glad you've found this forum for support. Keri is right - you cannot blame yourself for the situation you found yourself in. PE is tricky in that sometimes it is cut-and-dry and easy to diagnose and sometimes it looks just like pregnancy and blind...

Re: Dealing with it all

I'm so glad the forum has helped you. It took me months to return to something like normal and I truly had not totally healed until I had my 3rd son. It seems that it is much harder to deal with it all when you've been blindsided. So the good news about subsequent pregnancies is that you will not be...

Re: New member with some Questions

I'm wondering how you are today - any update? Bedrest is pretty impossible with a toddler! There are only so many books and sticker books and movies before the child runs off :) A HR of 112 is quite high. do you know your baseline BP (pre-pregnancy)? I would definitely suggest getting checked out fu...

Re: BP Variances & Meds

I know that is frustrating and confusing to hear! The whole point of making you lay down (like Alexis said) is to lower your BP. But we don't spend our lives laying around on our left sides, do we? Definitely discuss your numbers at home and in L&D with your OB and make sure the OB knows how your BP...

Great news!

I think sitting down with feet down is just as bad! It was for me, anyway. Can you prop your feet up at all?

Re: Chronic Hypertension???

you could certainly start out with just BP issues and then have the protein come along later. but a PE diagnosis will have to have both. PIH (pregnancy-induced hypertension or gestational hypertension) is high BP with no protein. I feel like that one can be a bit trickier to diagnose, but that is si...
