I've had 3 MFM's tell me my ONLY birth control option is Mirena.......ever.

aajatwins-----exactly the way I feel!!! I have some incredible doctors and I had a roller coaster of a pregnancy with my 3rd ( when I found this site) where I questioned them....but they proved to be excellent doctors who I totally trust and am soooooooo thankful for! Seeing me through that pregnanc...

also, once you're further along, you should only be hooked up for about 20 minutes or max 1hr because I believe if they aren't reactive after an hour, they just go straight to BPP.

Hi Jean. Like Angie said, 23 weeks is really too early for NST's. When I was at labor and delivery that early, they just used the doppler to listen to the heartbeat becasue they said theres no point trying the monitors becaue baby is so small. My MFM doesn't start them until 28 weeks. My four babies...

I'm glad you like your doctor Z1ggy! After what happend with my first, I demanded to be seen by the Chief ( still same small hospital) and when things started going haywire with my 3rd, I just switched to a different hospital under strictly MFM's. The smaller hospital did MFM consult care I think it...

Thanx Judy!----we must be partial to our wonderful hospital :0) Judy introduced me to the MFM's at the hospital I was seen at with my last two pregnancies. We see different MFM's, but at the same hospital. They really are wonderful doctors!

It seems lately a loooooooot of people are upset with their doctors. I just wanted to chime in and say that I am very grateful for the healthcare I've received over my last two pregnancies. Doctors aren't perfect and preeclampsia is a hard thing to manage because its so unpredictable. Be your own ad...

With my 3rd I was on Labetalol 400mg 3 times a day and Norvasc.....Labetalol is very safe......but can make u feel yucky.
