Re: Anterior placenta
I had an anterior placenta with Luke. My OB tells me that it typically will move out of the way. If it doesn't, it may block the cervix and you might get placenta previa, requiring a C-Section. Mine stayed anterior but did not develop previa. It really didn't matter to me because I was going to have...

Re: Unable to breastfeed and milk supply
I had another Lactation Consultant appointment today. It's my first follow up appointment. Since I saw her, Luke was hospitalized twice. I caught her up on everything and told her I have been able to keep a meager milk supply through power pumping. At least it's more than when I first saw her. I am ...

Re: Dr to have me go to wk 40 to try for Vbac-playing w/fire
I personally would just want to get a C-Section. But that's just me. The wait and the worry would just be too much for me. And to have to wait and try for labor, only to end up with a section does not sound like a fun walk in the park for me.

Re: Did losing weight reduce risk of PE again??
I am fluffy and got pregnant again before losing weight. I lost my baby weight, but that was about it. I had no PE or HELLP, or blood pressure issues before, during, and after the delivery. I am currently 5 weeks postpartum. I attribute the obesity and weight issue like this: fluffier people may hav...

Unable to breastfeed and milk supply
Hi Ladies, I am having issues with feeding my son. He is one month old but has spent 3 weeks of it in the hospital. He has had to be on the bottle because they had to measure how his intake (GI issues at birth). I have been pumping and bottle feeding, and supplementing with formula. I have seen 5 la...

Baby Luke Update...What a Ride
Hi everyone! Sorry I have been MIA for a while. In my last posted I talked about his delivery and posted some pictures. Within 5 minutes of posting that all was well, we found out he had to be admitted to the NICU for a possible bowel obstruction. Long story short, he had to have surgery at 3 days o...

Re: Say Hello Baby Luke. PE and HELLP Free!
Congratulations! I am so happy for you and your family. I have been following some of your posts and also the replies to my post. This time around I saw you mentioned you did LDA, Folic acid, & prenatals. Can I ask what your diet consisted of? Day to day what would you eat and not eat? I know the s...

Say Hello Baby Luke. PE and HELLP Free!
Hi ladies, Lucas Francisco Riehl Jimeno was born on October 13th at 8:33am. We made it to his scheduled C-Section date of 37+1. He weighed 5 pounds 9 ounces. No signs of Preeclampsia, HELLP, PIH, or even protein throughout this pregnancy. As a quick recap, I had early onset, severe PE and HELLP with...

Re: tough visit with RE
Keri, I am really sorry you had such a crappy appointment. I hope you can find second or third opinions. In terms of Clomid (etc) and multiples, I took Metformin at the same time since that's been shown to help prevent multiples. I have PCOS so they gave it to me. I never asked about use for non PCO...
