Re: Anyone have natural labor, or induction w/o pain meds?
I also use a large OB practice - 5 docs, I think. The one on-call the night I went into labor told me point blank that he would never have let me VBAC if I had been his patient (and he's head of the practice). So I'm thankful he respected his fellow doctor (and me) enough to honor my wishes. Do you ...

Re: Anyone have natural labor, or induction w/o pain meds?
My experience might not help you much because I had no hypertensive issues in my last pregnancy. But I will say that my OB did agree she could induce me (ended up going on my own) with a lower dose of pitocin if I still looked good at the end. Like I said, I went on my own, but I had back labor and ...

Welcome back to the boards :) I'm sure you've been a witness to how supportive these ladies are and I hope that will be true for you in this season! I'm not the lady with statistics about what your chances are ... but I can say that since you already here wanting to TTC, you must know those miraculo...

Re: Measuring small at first u/s... poor implantation?
No worrying yet!! My last pregnancy was similar to Angie's: 1st u/s baby measured 3 days behind. 2nd u/s he measured 3 days ahead. By 30 weeks or so, he was measuring a full week ahead and was born at 39 weeks on the dot weighing 8lbs 13oz! I think you are safe to relax until later in the pregnancy ...

Re: link between indigestion and pre-e?
Heartburn/indigestion is definitely a symptom of PE. You'll have to wait for one of the science-y people to explain why! That's beyond me! In both of my pregnancies, after I stopped feeling nauseated, I started getting heartburn. I'll say this backwards for the sake of making a case for PE-related h...

Happy birthday, sweet girl!!
The precious (valuable) thing about PE is that, as survivors, we realize just how precious life is!! Hope you are cherishing those crazy moments! It goes so fast...

Re: nervous but ecstatic!
Congratulations!! It can definitely be nerve-wracking in subsequent pregnancies... sometimes you just feel like you are waiting for PE to show up. BUT you do get to celebrate everyday that you and baby remain healthy! It puts a new perspective on those 9 precious months that God uses grows your litt...

Re: Should I see another MFM?
Many of these ladies use an OB and an MFM or just and MFM... I think maybe it is just personal preference and doctor preference. I was not overly impressed with the MFM I saw for our pre-conception consult before my 2nd pregnancy either. She didn't have much to tell me, really. I learned more from t...

Re: Intro- New here
Welcome to the boards! Sorry you had to find us this way :) It is very frustrating (and deceiving) to look and feel fine, but know that you are sick. It is fabulous that your doctors are so on top of your care! My experience was one of those going very bad very quickly. My BP didn't seem high enough...

Re: A welcome from your moderators....
Hello, Ladies! I'm joining the moderators :) My first pregnancy was a whirlwind of craziness from the beginning. I confirmed a singleton pregnancy in Dec 08 and started showing immediately. 4 weeks later, I found out I was carrying identical twins. They each had their own amniotic sac, but were shar...
