The service also hit home to all of us. Each time I placed a flower in the vase I keep thinking out there was another mother another family another lost child. All just like me geiving over the loss of a child who never got to come home. It was almost overwhelming. And to know that this was just one small percentage of all the lost people out there in the world. May our daughters not suffer the same fate as we did.

Yes Carol and everyone it was beautiful and very emotional..ah, the songs always get me. I had no idea that the HELLP Syndrome Society paid for it, and I'll pass my thanks on to Steve and Jennifer.

Alissa..we hope many more can make it next time! All of you were missed.

Memorial Service at the Annual Conference

Postby carolh » Wed Jan 15, 637355 9:32 am

At our annual conference in West Virginia last week we conducted a memorial service in honor of all the names listed in our 'In Memoriam' section of this Forum. The ceremony was beautiful...poems and passages were read by attending members and music was played with lyrics that tugged at our hearts. We arranged for enough carnations to represent each name listed in our "In Memoriam" section (plus others that we knew of -- about 80 total) and as I read the names, those who attended took turns putting a carnation in a vase to represent a baby (or mother) lost to PE. The HELLP Syndrome Society was gracious enough to help plan and to pay for the costs invovled in arranging this ceremony.

Just wanted everyone to know that we attempted to honor the memory of those that were lost within our membership.

Carol
