i didn't write the poem but it showed up out of no where and i thought of all of you wonderful moms who have lost there angels and felt it was perfect. i feel like it covers so much of the awful innocent some times not so innocent advice people give. nothing but i am sorry will ever some what help and sometimes just listening is more then any words. just being there listening can some times save some one from there misery even for just a moment.

My daughters angel day was June 10, 1982. She was 3 months, 1 week, and 1 day old. She passed away due to SIDS. Your words are PERFECT! Even today my heart aches for Alicia. No one else remembers her, or at least says anything to me(for fear of "upsetting" me maybe.)
Thank You........

your welcome! it needs to be said... some comments are meant to be good but aren't and it's common sense. Just say your sorry and that you are there for them if they need any thing... do something actions speak louder then words. I am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful angel and I love the name Fiona.

of the people have said and continue to say the wrong wrong wrong things after you lose your precious angel:

You don't know how I feel; please don't tell me that you do
There's just one way to know--have you lost a child too?
"You'll have another child"--must I hear this every day?
Can I get another mother, too, if mine should pass away?
Don't say it was "God's will"--that's not the God I know.
Would God, on purpose, break my heart, then watch as my tears flow?
"You have an angel in heaven--a precious child above."
But tell me, to whom here on earth shall I give this love? "Aren't you better yet?" Is that what I heard you say?
No! A part of my heart aches and I'll always feel some pain.
You think that silence is kind, but it hurts me even more.
I want to talk about my child who has gone through death's door. Don't say these things to me, although you do mean well.
They do not take my pain away; I must go through this *.
I will get better, slow but sure--and it helps to have you near.
But a simple "I'm sorry you lost your child" is all I need to hear

I am so sorry to those who have lost there precious beautiful angels
