Here is the website for some good friends of ours who have been/are in a similar situation. Strangely enough, Stacey had PE/HELLP during her pregnancy also, but I believe his kidney problems aren't related to that. Anyway, they have been on the kidney journey for six years now. She is so knowledgeable and may have some advice. Their website is They are in MN, so not too far away. They also have a facebook page as they are in the process of finding a living donor for Zachary.

You can also email me through my profile if you would like, and I can give you her phone number.

Prayers to this family.

Family needs moral support

Postby shellysmomdad » Tue Mar 09, 2010 00:57 am

I've been corresponding with a local Iowa family. She had severe preeclampsia with her now 1-year old (don't know gender). Due to her complications, their child is experiencing kidney failure, and has been in hospital going on week 6. If anyone from the forum community would like to offer some moral support, contact me and I will pass along the family's contact info.
