Rolaids with anti-gas. I had heartburn horrible, especially at the end. You might want to ask your doc if you can take Gaviscon. Its a chewable and when you swallow it it kind of forms a foamy physical barrier that keeps acid down. I had used it before but not when pregnant.

No home remedy ever worked for me. Prescription PPI's (proton pump inhibitor) were the only thing that worked. Nexium, Protonix etc....

Take some pepcid and have a small glass of milk. I can't take Tums. I took too many Tums when I was pregnant with my daughter and ended up with a kidney stone at exactly seven months along.

I spoke with my MFM doctor today and she said it is safe to take Protonix during pregnancy but she said to wait to take it after 10 weeks. I am currently taking extra strength Tums to get me to week ten. I hope you feel better soon!

My Peri has me taking 20mg Pepcid twice per day. It really has helped me. I also had bad HB with Tommy, and took the same meds.
Good luck, and I hope you feel better.

I ate several stalks of celery before going to bed, ate tums like they were going out of style, and tried to avoid eating late in the day.

Pepcid ac helps a lot. I only just discovered this with my 3rd (current) pregnancy. My OB suggested it.

Not laying down! Laying down always makes mine worse. (Although heart burn is a non pregnancy thing for me.)
