P17 is a progesterone shot given once a week to keep pre-term labor away. Since I waited only 6 months between my first and second pregnancies, I had pre-term labor issues. No problems this time, and we waited about 10 months between pregnancies.

Thank you so much for posting this! It is so wonderful to hear success stories. As one of our moderators once said in a post, the women who come here are mostly those with recurring issues. It is nice to see someone who manages to be PE free in subsequent pregnancies.

Good luck with the C section!

Hooray, Cathy! I so cannot believe it's already time for you (though I'm sure you can)! I hope tomorrow's delivery goes exceptionally well; can't wait to hear an arrival update!

CONGRATULATIONS! You give me hope. I, too, hope to be in your shoes in 7 months :)

PS: what are P17 shots?

Giving some hope

Postby katevans » Wed Jun 11, 2008 03:15 pm

Well Ladies, tomorrow at noon I am scheduled for my c-section. This is the first pregnancy that I have made it to an actual date and not an emergency. I have had no complications at all this pregnancy. And this is my second PE and HELLP free pregnancy. I wish everyone on the board luck with your TTC journey, and if you are pregnant, I wish you a VERY boring pregnancy.
