Re : Any subsequent pregnancies w/out pe or e?
I had severe PE and HELLP w/my first pregnancy and delivered at @ 34 weeks after 7 weeks of PIH. I'm now almost about 39 weeks and scheduled to deliver via c section on Wed of this week!! I have no signs of PE and BP is still good. I have been taking Lovenox this pregnancy which may be the reason I'm PE free since I have a clotting disorder.

I had preeclampsia with my son who was stillborn at 26 wks because of it, than got it with my baby girl Sebanna that died at almost 6 weeks old I was on bedrest for over a month until I delievered her, than my uric acid was high while pregnant with my almost 2 yr old but never officially got preeclampsia with her hoping I dont with this new baby either,

With my first I had pre-e and HELLP and had to deliver at 24 weeks, 6 days. With this little one I am currently 29 weeks, 1 day, and no signs of pre-e or PIH yet! Hoping it stays that way!

I had PE PP with #1. With #2 BP went up and up but was controlled by meds, was PE-free and started labour naturally at 37+5 weeks. Currently pregnant with #3, BP and meds are going up but, so far, it's ok. I'll be 40 in July - my best present will be reaching 32-weeks and still be pregnant!

Hi there,
I did not have post partum eclampsia but I did get pre-eclampsia with both sons. I just gave birth to Megan Audrey at the age of 40. The pregnancy was picture perfect although she was a bit smaller than expected. She was 5 pds. 6 oz, and I expected her to be over 6 pds but she is over 6.5 pounds now so she is growing!
Anyway, good luck with your decision.

Thank you all for your responses....I'm optimistic and this adds to it. Very happy to hear you all had better experiences the 2nd time around....it's well deserved!

I had severe PE and HELLP in my first pregnancy and was emergency c/s at 34 weeks.
My second pregnancy was PE and HELLP free. I was put on precautionary bedrest at 32 weeks, and delivered (repeat c) at 39 wks as another precaution as well.

Re : Any subsequent pregnancies w/out pe or e?
I just had my second child after suffering from severe pp PE and HELLP with my first. So far, I am only showing some mild hypertension, which seems to be behaving with meds. So, it does happen! I sure hope it goes well for you as well next time around.
Re : Any subsequent pregnancies w/out pe or e?
I had PE and HELLP which worsened immediately following delivery followed by two weeks of hospitalization. No PE with my second, and like SueAnn we had a 37 week delivery to avoid any potential late term/postpartum issues. The stories of others really helped me when we were contemplating number 2.
