Unfortunately I am going in for a D&C tomorrow. I had an ultrasound on Friday and there was no longer a heartbeat.

People don't understand why I am assuming that I will go on bedrest, but I would rather be wrong and pleasantly surprised instead of unprepared.

I am clearing my schedule as of September 1--8 weeks before my due date. No part-time job, no singing at church, no teaching Sunday School. I was put on bedrest last time at 32w5d and if it happens again this time I don't want to have to scramble to find subs and make a bunch of phone calls to let people know I won't be available.

Thanks Sonja. I actually remember you from the first pregnancy. We named our daughter Amelia so you always stood out to me because of your daughter's name!

Congratulations on your pregnancy.

I hope that you can remain a lurker, but sometimes it is just nice to come and vent to people who know what it is like to go into pregnancy having had a not so perfect pregnancy in their past.

Let us know how you are doing.

Hoping to stay a lurker

Postby canserb3 » Wed Feb 15, 638930 6:43 am

I spent a lot of time on this site when I was expecting in 2008. I struggled with BP but bedrest and medication kept me from allowing pre-e to develop.

I have never gone off of my BP medicine and I am currently almost 8 weeks pregnant. The first trimester has actually caused my BP to drop so I will carefully monitor everything.

I hope everything goes smoothly and I can stay as a lurker but I may need your support down the road. My OB has warned me that expect a lot of the same that we experienced last time.
