I haven't posted very often but I thought I would give you all my update. I'm not sure if anyone remembers but I had PIH in my previous pregnancy and an abruption during labor at 40 weeks that led to a crash c-section. 4 days after I began having very bad PP hypertension and was readmitted for 5 more days. That was 3 years ago. This pregnancy I was being followed by a MFM and everything appeared to be going fine. My pressures started going up in the OB's and MFM's offices a few weeks ago but that were still great at home so I was told not to worry. I set up my repeat c-section for 39 weeks. I was doing twice weekly NST's at L&D. 5 days before my c-section my BP at home that morning was 110/69. I went to my NST at 3pm and my BP was 163/90. The nurse called my doctor and he had her take it again sitting up 183/103. He said he was Likely going to push up my c-section to that evening. He was there in 40 min. They took my pressure again 195/111. The started me on mag and gave me IV meds for my BP and had my baby out in the next hour. I never thought it could move so fast. I got mag for the next day and since then my BP had been bad and I left the hospital on labetalol and procardia. Anyway, I have a beautiful, healthy, son and I just wanted to share my story.
