Re: Minor lovenox issue...?
I want to echo Heather in that I just made sure I pinch the skin before injecting. I do mine extra low.

Re: Minor lovenox issue...?
Rosalinda is correct. I understand your concern, though, and thought that was the most difficult aspect of the injections in later pregnancy. Oliver was settled pretty low for most of the time and even though he may kick higher, I found that injecting higher - almost under my ribcage - gave me more assurance. Really, though, if you pinch the skin up before injecting, you'll be fine. It definitely is a mental thing!

Re: Minor lovenox issue...?
I was on Lovenox during my second pregnancy which ended in miscarriage at 9wks. But to my understanding, the Lovenox injections
are subcutaneous. You should inject them into a fatty fold of skin (tissue), if you pinch an inch, then inject--the baby should/will be fine.

Minor lovenox issue...?
I've been on lovenox since 7 weeks, mostly 2 shots a day/30 mg, and everything was fine. We recently cut back to 1 (30 mg) shot a day since everything has been going well (the plan is I'll be weaned off it completely in a few weeks around 30-32 wks instead of switching to heparin, since I don't have a clotting disorder and am not showing any signs of pre-eclampsia or growth restriction.)
My issue is, I think baby has just gone through a growth spurt because I see and feel him moving constantly now. (Before I could feel it but I didn't usually see my entire belly jumping all around.) I'm 28 weeks and the other night when I did a shot, I tried to carefully pick a spot that I didn't think the baby was near, and right after I did the injection, he kicked me in the exact same place I'd done the shot!
I know logically and biologically that there is my uterus and stuff separating the baby from the needle and the needles aren't really that long. But now it's a mental thing and I don't know where/how to inject anymore because I don't like doing it near the baby but he's kind of everywhere. Did anyone else have this issue and how do you get over it?
