I went on a little weekend trip with the youth from my church and ate pretty poorly compared to how I usually do, but I think it's the small changes I've made that saved me. Instead of Kool-Aid, I had water. Instead of grazing on Ding-Dongs, I ate one and drew the line there. So no, I wasn't perfect...but I did a lot better than I would've in the past.

Okay everyone - you are inspiring me by seeing all your numbers go down! I was so tempted to go and get a cookie at this shop right around the corner from my office - but not now. I have only four weeks until I turn 40 and I want to be at (or relatively near) my goal of 150.

You all rock - keep up the amazing work!!

Yea!!!! This is so encouraging. It has been a pretty rough week too. My sister is 29 wk and was in the hospital for 2 days. Her BP was 180/100 at her appt. She was let out yesterday, but now she is on bedrest. So I only got to work out 1 day this week. Also I dx with PCOS this week and I am about to start Glucophase (sp?) so that should help me lose some weight too.

I would love to lose my last 12 pounds by my birthday in October. That would be about 1 pound a week, definitely doable. I got into a smaller size pair of pants yesterday, so that was encouraging. My old jeans should fit after another 5 pounds or so, can't wait for that! I haven't worn them since I got pg last time. I am looking at getting a treadmill. It is too hot to walk outside here in Texas and gas prices are getting too high to be driving to my friends house every other day. I would be better off just buying one for my house.

Thanks for starting this, Meg! My in-laws are staying with us right now, so not only have I been not checking in here, but I'm getting spoiled rotten so I bet next week's weigh-in will not be good for me!

Meg, I'm sorry that you are depressed. With how steady your decline has been, I can see how a gain would be upsetting. Don't worry too much about it - just look how far you've come!

I'm the same and I know why. I haven't made much of an effort exercising, except swimming at the beach on Wednesday. I have been eating good though but I need to step up the cardio.

I hate, hate being overweight. I just found some pics of me when I was skinny and I remember that I never had to worry about how my clothes looked on me. I was so carefree. I miss those days and I can't wait to get back. I want to be one of those women who have a better body now than they did when they were younger. I will be even stronger!

Meg,

Keep your chin up! Have taken your measurements? A lot of times, you might gain a pound or two, but have lost inches! From your stat though, you are doing awesome! Almost 30 pounds! Hang in there and keep up the good work!

Is everyone avoiding posting because like me, they were bad this past week?

Start: 191.6 (1/2/06)
Last week: 163.4
This week: 164.4 [:(]

I don't know what my problem is! I think in some way I am depressed about turning 40 or that I moved 3,000 miles away from my friends or I don't know. I just can't stop eating food that is bad for me. I even thought that seeing 159 at my scale at home would motivate me. Wrong!! I was so good in the beginning, but having a tough time. I just hope I can turn myself around. (Still doing well with the workouts and runs though so I have that going for me.) HOpe everyone did better than me and had a great week.
