I forgot today was Tuesday!

Height: 5'7" or 5'9" if you count my hair!
Highest weight ever (June 29, 2007) - 252 lbs (pregnancy and dairy queen)
Goal: 150 lbs

Current weight: 232 lbs without a baby on my hip or in my arms

Phase one of my plan: control portions, better choices, and breaking a bad soft drink habit

Phase two: exercise

Phase three: decrease calories more while increasing exercise

Phase four: repeat process

Looks like everyone is doing a great job so far, way to go!!! I forgot to add that before I go out to eat I like to know what I can order since I am a calorie counter girl and I can only have such a certain amount of starchs, protein, dairy products and fats a day. Here is a website that has helped me out a lot!!!

Enjoy:))

Yes, Rachel -- my 172 was at the end of 13 months of nursing. I got down almost to prepreg weight within a month of having Jacob, but after 13 months of nursing, it just crept up and up. I refused to diet while nursing (DUMB) b/c I thought I wouldn't get enough nutrients. I gained about 20 lbs that year and weighed more than I had ever weighed before!!!

When I stopped nursing I lost it all within a year. Now I'm back to 148 which is what I weighed 4 years ago when I got pregnant! 135 would be SO much better, but I just have stalled out!

The calorie intake and exercise you're doing should pay off, but the weight will probably come off a little easier once you're done nursing!

Good morning ladies!

Well I'm up two pounds but I'm pretty sure it was the Chinese dinner DH and I had last night (it was our anniversary!) Anyway... here goes!

Height: 5'8"
Weight: 197.6lbs
Goal: 163lbs (weight watchers)

I can't tell you the how many exercise DVD's I own... but I think I could open up my own store! So... my mini goal for this week is to do an exercise DVD once a day... now I just have to decide which one to do today *giggle*

adgirl~ Thanks for the BMI calculator!

Rachel~ IKWYM with the weight loss and breastfeeding... I've been stuck at this weight for a while now... up & down a few pounds here and there... but no real weight loss for me... exercise I think will make a difference since I really haven't done anything since I've had the baby... I've just been too tired... but now that Carson is sleeping through the night I guess I need to get my butt in gear LOL!

Holly~ Great job!!

Good morning, ladies!

Height: 5'5"
Highest weight ever: 273 (preggers with Dylan)
Goal: 135-140
Method: restricted calories (1200max/day), running 1-2 miles EVERY day, and Yoga

Week one (7/31/07): 160

I swear nursing is making it soooo hard to lose weight. I didn't get to nurse Dylan longer than a month, and it was so much easier to lose weight after him.

Weight Loss Buddies -- Week 1 Weigh In

Postby adgirl » Tue Jul 31, 2007 11:04 am

I hadn't seen a thread for this yet, so I thought I'd start it.
I've been eating healthy/exercising for some time now, and have stalled at my current weight for about 9-10 months, so I'm going to use today's weight as my starting weight. Today is the beginning of a new focused effort of getting to a healthier BMI!!!

Height: 5'6"
Highest Non Pregnant Weight: 172 (2005) - BMI = 27.8
Goal: 135 -- BMI = 21.8
Method: Eating 5-6 small healthy meals per day/exercise

Week 1:
Tuesday morning weigh-in: 148.4 - BMI = 23.9

Success story from previous week -- I did a push up test at my gym and did 28 military pushups. A year ago, I could barely do 10 "girl pushups". So, even though the weight isn't falling off, I'm in much better shape!

Here's a BMI calculator if anyone is interested!

Good luck to everyone this week!
