Congratulations on a good 4/5 month appointment! It's great that Ivy's following her growth curve. Hopefully both of you are feeling better soon - you don't need these extra challenges.

Boo,

Sounds like some decent progress for little Ivee! I do hope her eyes continue to improve and the appointments lessen for both of you! I hope the yeast infection and thrush go away quickly. Thanks for the update, we really appreciate hearing how she's doing. And I hope you feel better soon too!

4 month check-up

Postby mommyboo » Tue Apr 22, 2008 06:48 pm

Ivy finally had her 4 month check-up. I know, she's almost 5 months but I have been so sick I couldn't leave the house to take her in.
She is up to a whopping 8lb 3oz and 22inches long.
She got all her 4 month vaccines, 3 shots and an oral vaccine. They also confirmed that she has a yeast infection. Her poor bum just wouldn't heal and I thought that's what it was. I was surprised to also find out she has thrush.

She's still not on the charts but on the same curve so all looks good. They still have me adding calories to her milk so I guess exclusively nursing is out for awhile longer. The Dr. also thought she heard a heart murmur today but we already have an appt to see a cardiologist in May for her heart problems. We go back in 2 weeks to the eye Dr. as well for another eye appt. Last week he said her eyes were grade 1 zone 3 ROP so hopefully the appts will start spacing out some.
