Did Nancy on Days of Our Lives Have Pre-E????

LOL Anika! I watch Passions too when I have a chance. When I'm home w/both of the boys I do good to see Days. LOL..When Hunter was smaller..maybe just over 2 he thought it was so funny to say "like sands thru the hourglass...so are the days of our lives" and he would change his voice to do it deeper..Kid cracks me up! That's about the time I would get him to sleep every day and he would sit in the chair and rock w/me and would hear it everyday! LOL!!

Thanks, Ladies. And, yes, Jan, we are just after that point now in our episodes. Nancy went into a coma type thing - but now she's home! And I saw here and Craig telling Chloe that Craig is her father. Apparently she is going to get the bone marrow from him. But again, they don't seem to be saying much about the baby! I am happy to know that the foundation is correcting this kind of stuff as they catch it. These soaps gets specialists all the time so they can be accurate about cancer and stuff - they need to do the same for pre-e.

Hey, Lori - what is really funny is that I NEVER watched "Days" in the States, but now I watch it religiously here even though we are so behind. We are also behind on "All My Children" by about two years. We just started getting "Passions" and "Young & the Restless" but I have no idea how behind we are on those.

Ok, looked back into some archives. Here is a bit of what was happening w/ Nancy:

"Nancy's blood pressure is still high and she's barely holding off toxemia. Dr. Bader warns Craig that his wife has to stay calm; this is what's preventing him from revealing that Chloe is his biological daughter. Bader tells Nancy that if her blood pressure doesn't drop, they may have to take the baby early, but Nancy is adamant they can't take the baby, even if it kills her...
"

Not sure how it turned out.

Yes, you remember correctly. We had the Passions producers all in a huff b/c we threatened a major letter-writing campaign and bad PR for them. The storyline concluded rather abruptly after that (not suggesting our threats caused that, but it was coincidental). However, I'm not recalling any Days storyline, but that doesn't mean it wasn't there; just didn't come to our attention.

When I first started coming here, I remeber there being a link to the Passions story line and I think the PE foundation sent the producers some PE info about this, saying that it doesn't cause insanity. I hope I'm remebering that correctly. I can't remember now if they actually sent it, or just said they should. That's been a few years now and my memory's shot. Maybe someone who remembers will correct me if I'm wrong.

I do not really watch Days or any soaps anymore BUT, I grew up w/ days and have to have the story lines weekly from my mother who has been watching it since the 70s. Anywho, I kinda remember something about Nancy having preeclampsia. SO did Theresa on Passions, The pre e was blamed for Therasa going through tempoarary insanity.

LOL Ankia..I saw your post and I was thinking that ya'll must be way way behind! I am watching Days of our Lives right now!! LOL!!! It comes on at 1pm our time!

Anyway, to the best of my memory (and it's been quite a while) She had the baby to hopefully be a match for bone marrow when Chloe had leukemia...I think that her and the baby both ended up being fine...Although now that you mention it I can't think of seeing the baby in quite a while..

Yes, I would assume that she would have remained in the hospital if she were comatose as a result of the p/e. Ah, the magic of soaps huh?

Thanks, Julie - and I will be watching to see if I can piece it together. As I said, we are still in the 2003 episoneds. . . And, I imagine the forum might want to know about this, even if it is just a soap.
