my story my fear

My name is Emily and about a year ago I was diagnosed with preeclampsia. My blood pressure was really high and my doctor put me on a few different medicationss to counteract it, but nothing helped... it just got worse and my dose was upped again and again. This went on for about three months before we lost our daughter. I was 7.5 months along. my husband and I want to start trying again, but I'm really frightened that this will happen again and I'm not so sure that I'm strong enough to bury an other child.

I too lost a baby to preeclampsia - in April this year. This was undoubtedly the most heartbreaking experience I've ever had. It has devastated me both emotionally and physically. Makes me realize just how happy my life was before Preeclampsia. I miss my baby and grieve her loss on a daily basis. Still struggling with fatigue, high b, and a racing heart which may or may not be as a result of anxiety. I feel your pain and hope that you find healing. Follow your heart regarding a decision to have another baby but do ensure that you receive the best healthcare possible and be on the lookout for the symptoms when you do get pregnant.

i know how you are feeling hun im soo sorry for your loss, i lost my son 7 weeks ago with having pre-eclampsia and it was the most heartbreaking thing i could of ever went through and i too share the fear of it happening again. but well done on managing with your loss of your angel. i hope you don't let the fear of it happening again put you off having another child, i know i wont as soon as i can try again i will. just make sure that you take all the precautions of it happening again and make sure you have a good doctor who understands what has happened and that will keep a close eye on you. ive been told i will be monitored from conceiving to giving birth with scans every week, blood pressure medication from the start to finish and junior aspirin too. but have a good think to make sure that you are ready to have another child. the likelihood of it happening again is very small. i wish you all the luck and happiness. you deserve it after what you have experienced.
