My horror story

I got pregnant at 19, it was my first pregnancy and everything was easy! Then I got further along and started having high blood pressure BUT they said no biggie we've seen worse, so I'm thinking they're the dr; I should trust them right? Well, my blood pressure remained high the duration of my pregnancy. I was induced at 38 weeks and I went in on Wednesday had my daughter Thursday. I was on magnesium sulfate, they also told me my placenta looked like it came out of a meat grinder?!?!? They sent me home the next day.

I thought, wow, I'm a mom! I had a beautiful little girl and I was happy to get home. Well Sunday came around and I had this headache that only came around when I sat up but if I laid down it was good. Then my Bp was still high, we called and asked if I could take something for my bp but the dr said no, so he gave me midrin (at the time we didn't know you shouldn't take this medication with high bp). Later that night I went blind in my left eye and had 4 grand mal seizures.

I remember the ambulance ride, I could hear them talking about "19yr old white caucasion female just had a baby 4 days ,poor kid." I couldn't see them, I couldn't talk to them, only listen. I didn't wake up till Wednesday. By this time the doctors told everyone I may not make it, say your goodbyes, but like I said I woke up, tube down my throat and tons of things hooked up to me, (boy was I scared) the doctor was actually in my room sleeping in the chair (boy did this man know he screwed up!). He's surrendered his medical license at least that's what I've read lately. Good!

Second pregnancy, well same thing, but these doctors were smarter. I had my daughter at 35 weeks bc my pre eclampsia was back at 26 weeks and they didn't want a repeat of my first, she was small and extremely lethargic bc I was on magnesium sulfate for a whole week,. Now this pregnancy, I'm 21 weeks and my preeclampsia is back! I also have Crohn's disease, and placenta previa, boy do I feel screwed... I know this is long and I'm sorry, but if it helps other woman know what went on with me and can help them then I'm all for it.

Thank you for sharing your story, I was the same age when I had my first child and got preeclampsia and now thinking about having another baby but afraid of getting preeclampsia again.
