Losing Carson

My name is Payton. I am 21. I was 22 weeks and 3 days with Carson. I went in to the hospital with really bad abdominal pain, that was going from my back to my stomach.

I arrived at the hospital and I was informed that my blood pressure was 200/108. I also had protein in my urine. This had never been discovered at my appointments with my obgyn. I had to be put on mag and transferred to a hospital the could help me.

When I arrived at this hospital they done a ultrasound which is when it was found that my baby was getting little to no blood flow threw the umbilical cord. I was told at first if we waited till I was 23 weeks that they would try to save him. Later on my symptoms got worse. They then informed me that I would have to deliver.

At this point I didn't know what to think. I was fine that day and that night got told I would be going home with out my baby boy. So after I had a chance to process everything I then decided to ask how everything was going to go. I was told that they would have to induce me. I would have to deliver my baby and they wouldn't be doing anything to help him.

I delivered Carson on January 23,2019. His heart beat for about 15 minutes. The hardest thing I have ever went through was losing my beautiful baby boy.
