This was my 3rd baby, I was 35 the 1st thing my doctors told me was that I was old! I has a good pregnancy but they kept noticing my blood pressure was high so I was sent to a specialist. Blood work always good but at the end they got concerned so they induced me at 37weeks vaginal delivery I was im the hospital 16hrs before he arrived wich near the time he arrived my doctor noticed the baby was in distress and thankfully no section was needed. My blood pressure stayed high after delivery in the 140 but they said that was normal, so I was discharged. 5days after I went to help my daughter out of the bath and I got extremely dizzy almost passed out. I called my spouse he took me to bed got some fluids in but my arm had a tingling feeling so we went to the er. They took my bp it was 180/100 I was admitted they took xrays and labs my bp went down to 140/88 they did find protein in urine but they discharged me. The next day I went to my ob and I told them everything from the night before they said I should of not been discharged! So I was re admitted again for preeclampsia. They put me on mag for 24hrs. I was discharged after that with blood pressure medication and told to follow up with my primary. I had medication changed because the 1st one they gave me wasn't doing much my bp was high all the time. Eventually my bp started to settle down but to this day I still get random spikes in my bp mostly depending on salt or caffeine intake, so I have had to drastically change my diet, I stopped drinking alcohol, I started going to more 5k walks/runs i have done a lot of research on natural solutions for high bp wich all have been amazing! But unfortunately this is something permanent now. And hopefully one day there will be a solution or prevention for preeclampsia! In the meantime ill share my story and keep learning about it.
