Director of Philanthropy, SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Preeclampsia Foundation is seeking a national Director of Philanthropy to lead and significantly grow the organization's private philanthropy. The Director of Philanthropy will be a leader who will guide and build philanthropic support for immediate (2-4 year) growth and long-term sustainability by creating a strong relationship management process that engages the Board and executive team in cultivating significant partnerships. S/he will plan, manage and coordinate all fundraising activities, including setting goals, cultivating and soliciting major individual prospects, foundations and corporations, as well as stewarding donors, managing appeals and other development-related activities.

Additionally, s/he is responsible for implementing a new planned giving campaign to increase Preeclampsia Foundation’s visibility and future sustainability. S/he will also grow the donor base, identify new prospects, and showcase the impact of a donor’s investment. While the Foundation’s revenue streams include individual and corporate giving, grants, fee-based and investment income, and special events, this person will focus primarily on increasing individual and corporate giving. This position will report to the Executive Director and will be based in Central Florida.

Managing Director, SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Managing Director of the organization will implement the infrastructure and systems needed to support strategic objectives of a national nonprofit organization. S/he will be responsible for the oversight of management and administrative systems including finances, technology, human resources, legal/corporate and facilities. Additionally, s/he will provide support for programmatic operations including planning, staffing, scaling and other support activities for the organization’s mission and fundraising areas. As a member of the senior management team, the Managing Director will be a seasoned and mature leader with at least 12-15 years of broad nonprofit operational and financial experience, involved in a range of strategic planning and internal initiatives.

S/he will be a hands-­‐on and participative manager and individual contributor. This is a tremendous opportunity for an operational and administrative leader to maximize and strengthen the internal capacity of a well-­‐respected, high-­‐impact organization. S/he will work closely with the ED and the senior management team in developing Preeclampsia Foundation’s strategic plan. The Managing Director will act as the primary liaison to the Board of Director and finance committee, working closely with the committee to strengthen Preeclampsia Foundation’s financial position and other items as required. S/he will continually evaluate best industry practices in comparison to internal systems and needed resources, with an eye toward both future needs and budget realities. This position will report to the Executive Director and will be based in Central Florida.
