North American Society for the Study of Hypertension in Pregnancy (NASSHP) Engages Foundation for Day-to-Day Operations

MELBOURNE, FL – July 15, 2011 – The Preeclampsia Foundation and the North American Society for the Study of Hypertension in Pregnancy (NASSHP) today announced a formal agreement whereby the Foundation would provide day-to-day administrative services for NASSHP with the Foundation’s headquarters serving as NASSHP’s business office.

NASSHP President Dr. Robert Powers explained, “This is the ideal transition for NASSHP, bringing stability to our administrative operations. In addition, the obvious close overlap in the missions and goals of the NASSHP and the Preeclampsia Foundation make this an ideal partnership. We are very excited about this new phase for the future growth and development of the NASSHP and look forward to a close collaboration with the Preeclampsia Foundation.”

“The relationship between their scientific community and our patient community is a natural fit, said Preeclampsia Foundation Executive Director Eleni Tsigas. “We have already enjoyed a long and fruitful relationship, collaborating on several education and research agendas, so this is a natural extension for both of us to achieve our missions.”

Administrative services to be provided include the development of a standalone website, conference management, tax and financial filings and bookkeeping, and member services.
