I had severe preeclampsia with my last two pregnancies. I knew what to watch out for with preeclampsia but never HELLP. I had upper back pain and dismissed it as just pain as I was seeing a chiropractor. It progressively got worse. I tried so hard to stay awake scared that the doctors would know something was wrong. I was also worried about pumping for my baby but i couldn’t until 2 days later because my body just stopped and all I could do was sleep. Thankfully my levels and platelets went back to normal. The maternal and fetal OB said that my OB saved my life. I will forever be grateful to her and God for saving my life when I should have died. Follow any and all symptoms and save your life.
