Eclampsia Strikes at Work

I had regularly been going to my appointments and never informed of any issues. Just as my appointments were getting closer together, I started to get a migraine.
The migraines started on a Saturday and I had an appointment the next week, so I wasn't thinking much of it as everything was normal before.

My drives into my office take about 2 hours in the morning. The morning everything took place, the drive was fairly regular, my head just hurt from the migraine. I got to work and started my day.
Noon is my lunch time. It had been getting really hard to focus on texting, becoming incoherent and incredibly hard to focus. I thought I just needed some food. Went to the grocery store to get a few things and then went back to the office. I sat at my desk with my food but started to feel like something was wrong. My vision was getting weird and I didn't have full control of my body.
I got up to try and find someone I knew.

When i got up and was walking, I kept running into things as I walked, my ability to walk straight wasnt there. Luckily I found someone I talked to frequently and told her something wasn't right. She brought me to our sick room and went to get help. I lost control of one of my arms. Next thing I knew, I woke up on the ground being given oxygen with medics and coworkers all around.
They rushed me to the hospital.

My husband was asleep, two hours away with no idea this was happening. At the hospital, a nurse helped me with getting incontact with people. Called my mom and let the nurse give her hospital info and she contacted my husband's sister to get to the house to get him. He was woken up abd he and his sister were on their way down.

At this point, i was in and out of consciousness. Only remembering bits and pieces. This includes a nurse stating they needed to start the c section NOW and couldn't wait any longer. It included remembering a nurse cutting my sports bra off, nurses holding me up while crying hysterically being given an epidural, laying back while I couldnt see anything and having a nurse keeping a bucket next to my face because I kept throwing up.

My daughter was born 2lbs 1oz. She was in the NICU for two months.
I was in the hospital for 9 days while the doctors struggled to get my blood pressure under control. I was a fall risk and struggled to eat. Didnt get to see my daughter much during my stay. By the time I was released, I was on a week of bedrest at home and struggled to stand up for any amount of time. With the hospital my daughter was at was 2 hours away and I wasn't allowed to drive and my husband couldn't, we weren't able to see her all too much during the time but made sure to be there at least 1 day a week minimum. Especially while I had all kinds of doctor follow ups at the hospital as well.

No doctor had talked to me about preeclampsia or eclampsia. I only learned about it by looking it up online. No one in my family had had it that I'm aware of and no clear signs of being at risk.
