Divine Protection

Going through old photos... Thought I'd share. These make my stomach hurt, make me want to cry. But then I realized how strong I was verbally and physically. I advocated not only for this little human growing in my body but ALSO for myself!!! So grateful that Braxten and I got to live. Thankyou God #preeclampsiaawareness #hellpawareness

My pregnancy was unbelievable. I had people telling me they could not believe I was walking etc etc, I wasn't told I had preeclampsia; I found out days later after I read the release form from the hospital. Eventually I had been flown on a private med plain with only the pilot a ems person and myself. It was a cool experience none the less. I tried my hardest to appreciate my pregnancy every single day. I kept my diabetes under control I tried to eat but couldn't stop puking or having heartburn! I lost 8 pounds when I was around 8 months pregnant. When I got to Edmonton they put me in an ambulance to first hospital then quickly put me in another ambulance to [another hospital]. I can't even begin to express that I will absolutely NEVER step foot in that hospital again if I needed it labor and delivery unit was so unprofessional and disrespectful . Holding my pain meds on me for as long as they could and quite: you've been here longer than 4 days you do not get the same care as the rest of the women here, it's hard enough I getting through with ought the nurses disobeying. Anyway the Emergency csection was frightening and I was beyond scared I had no idea what was going on or what was happening. But the surgery went well, thankfully I healed well and Braxten was in the NICU for 17 days afterwards. I had to take a course on tube feeding him before we left. And the BD was the worst support but all I had even. I just want to note how proud I am. I have been through the ringer more times then people could even imagine. I don't say everything. You only know what I want to tell you. Be kind. Speak your truth. And love and light to you all! And to my son, my Rainbow, miracle baby I love you to the moon and back!
