Gracen + Baby Jade

On May 13th, I went to the hospital in Fort Walton Beach because I lost my mucus plug at 25 weeks and 3 days. I was contracting and ended up with a positive ROM+. I went by ambulance to [the hospital] and was put on a mag drip. I was diagnosed with pre eclampsia as well. I had severe headaches every single day that were unrelenting. I spent a week on the perinatal unit. I was discharged after 3 negative ROM+ and medication for my headache. At my follow up with the Maternal Fetal Med doctor, I was admitted back due to the severity of my headache. From then I spent the remainder of my pregnancy in the hospital. We tried multiple interventions to get my headache under control from medication to steroid injections in my head. I was induced at 34 weeks and was maxed out on pitocin. I pushed for 2 hours and my baby girl was born July 13th weighed 5lbs 8oz. Jade was born with her cord wrapped around her neck twice and was not breathing. After 4 minutes and the NICU team about to intubate her, she took a breath. I had a 2nd tear and about 45 minutes after birth, I hemorrhaged. I had a uterine sweep done and was sent back to [the hospital] while my baby girl was in the NICU. While back [at the hospital], I was in the most excruciating pain and was having abnormal bleeding with abnormal clots. I hemorrhaged again and had a second uterine sweep done about 10 hours after the first. It was the most awful pain I have ever experienced. I received infusions due to loss of blood. I was eventually discharged and spent about 4 days before I was readmitted to the hospital due to the size of my blood clots and amount of bleeding. I also had a UTI. After treatment, I was discharged and spent 3 weeks in the NICU with Jade. We came home August 4th and both Jade and I are doing well.
