Postpartum Eclampsia

It was my first pregnancy I was 29 when I got pregnant and 30 when I gave birth. I gave birth on my due date but two weeks prior under my right rib would hurt I was nauseous and not feeling well. My doctor told me this is because I am close to my due date and getting bigger. I said ok what did I know it was my first baby right? After I gave birth my feet and legs instantly became swollen I’m talking huge it hurt to walk and I just wasn’t feeling well. The doctors told me this is normal I just gave birth I was just retaining some water and should go down. A week later I was getting horrible headaches as if someone was taking a knife and stabbing me in the head. I called doctors they said come back to the hospital but I’m sure you’re fine. I get to the hospital the lady checks my blood pressure which is normally low I’m 90/60 or 110/70 I was at 130 which is very high for me she said your fine your pressure is normal but they took me in anyway and gave me iv drip of tynoel. It wouldn’t work they didn’t believe me when I said it didn’t work and my head was hurting. They sent in the anesthesiologist bc they said it was probably just an epidural leak and would just need a quick cocktail to fix it. He’s came in and said it’s not possible because of it was would have happened within 24 hours not a week later. My head was still killing me I was crying I screamed I’m going to faint something doesn’t feel right I ended up having a seizure and brain bleed that caused a stroke. I bite my tongue really bad from the seizure could barely talk. They then started me on the magnesium drip and said I had postpartum preeclampsia which now is eclampsia due to the sezuire and stroke. I was then in icu for 3 days away from my baby. I could barley talk or keep my eyes open. If I had been more informed and know what I know today I could have spoke up for myself if the doctors would have known and listened to me this could have been prevented before I had the sezuire and stroke.
