Servere Preeclampsia At 19 Weeks

I am so touched by the stories i have read here. i am kenyan, carrying my third child. i have 2 daughters whom i gave birth to very normally. after getting my second child, i went for total thyroidectomy surgery in 2021, which i think later lead to developing HBP. I got pregnant this year, march 2026, which came accidentally without planning. at 19 weeks, i was feeling unwell while at work and decided to for check up, only to be rushed to another hospital for admkssion coz of preeclampsia. was admitted same day and put to magnesium sulphate. my Bp was 175/110 at 19 weeks. the left side of my chest and hand were painful. i stayed in hospital a whole week with IV for magnesium and later given 3 bp meds. nifedipine, labetalol and methyldopa. which am currently taking after discharge. am now 24 weeks and my bps are well controlled. i pray that it continues the same till atleast 36 weeks which doctors claim would be impossible. the only bigest challenge is that my husband is not supportive since he claims he never wanted the pregnancy. am carrying the load all alone. am sooo sooo touched by those husbands who have been supportive of their wives though it feels like a dream to me. ever since i started antenatal, i do it all alone. at first it felt like hell but i had to get used to it coz my husband never wants me to mention pregnancy. he ignores the fact that am pregnant which drains me. am already used to just to avoid my BPs hiking. i take the 3 bp meds, calcium, vitamin D, levothyroxine. i feel like i eat medicine for food plus no support at all from my husband in purchasing the medicine. Guys, am having it rough i pray that i get through it well. i am sharing my story most especially to those who have other side effects like lacking a thyroid, which increase chances of high BP. and above all, i would encourage husbands to be supportive of their wives
