I was unaware I even had HELLP syndrome. I was at a high risk ultrasound and the dr mentioned I was swelling up in front of here eyes and go to emergency triage immediately. They closely monitored the twins heartbeats as I felt worse and worse. I was told my blood pressure was through the roof and my liver was starting to fail. They had to give me shots to try to mature the twins lungs. They gave me an anti seizure medicine and a liver ultrasound sound. This all happened within hours. I was rushed up where I had an emergency c section under GA. I hemorrhaged and my platelets dropped so low I needed 2 pints of platelets.
