I had a textbook healthy pregnancy- no elevated BP and no risk factors for preeclampsia. I delivered on Sunday, was discharged Tuesday, and had normal BP at my check up Thursday. Friday I felt off and took my pressure at home. Readings kept going up so I went to the ER. My pressure was 181/112 and I was at risk of a seizure. Luckily I got magnesium and was readmitted for two days, I’m so grateful to the doctors and nurses who ensured I was healthy in order to care for my son.
